That was again promised to parents of Transcarpathian soldiers, who attended the extraordinary meeting of the Transcarpathian Regional Council on June 26, Thursday.
They were also reminded that the primary task of the battalion is to protect strategic targets in the region. The list of these sites will be disclosed soon. In addition, they have found suitable barracks in Mukachevo district to accommodate the battalion – the Mukachevo.net informed.
Parents were also reminded that 2200 Transcarpathian boys were supposed to be drafted into the army on May 25. However, in agreement with the then government, they managed to postpone the draft.
The chairman of the regional council Ivan Baloha also said that at the request of the parents they had prepared the appeal to the Minister of Defence about the rotation, the material support of the soldiers and to grant them official status of combatants.
