The Minister expects from Slovakia up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year

Ukraine suggests the EU to launch "big gas reverse" through Slovakia "in amount of up to 30 billion cubic meters a year."

This was announced by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuriy Prodan, after the arrival to Brussels to meet with the European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger.

"We have signed a memorandum which sets out the maximum amounts for "small reverse" – 22 million cubic meters per day. But there is also so-called big reverse, which can provide up to 30 billion cubic meters per year" – Prodan said.

He also added that on Wednesday, Ukraine and the European Commission can discuss the renewal of tripartite talks with Russia on gas.

"Probably on Wednesday, we will discuss it with the Commissioner Oettinger," – he said.

It was reported that the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuriy Prodan announced that Kyiv was ready to conclude a package agreement on gas with the "Gazprom" and continue working exclusively under this agreement.
