National Bank puts hryvnia banknotes with signature of Kubiv into circulation

The National Bank of Ukraine has started putting hryvnia banknotes with the signature of a new central bank chairman Stepan Kubiv into circulation.

This was reported to the agency "Interfax-Ukraine" by a source in government circles – the Ekonomichna Pravda informed.

"They have adopted the decision to release and put into circulation banknotes of the year 2003 and subsequent years of release standard signed by the head of the NBU Stepan Kubiv, in particular, 100 UAH denomination – on June 1, 50 UAH – on August 1, 500 UAH – on September 1, 200 UAH – on October 1, 2014", – the source informed.

According to him, this decision is fixed in the resolution of the NBU № 207 dd. April 9.

The agency’s source said that it is a planned release for replacement of old and worn banknotes to be withdrawn from circulation.
