The Central Election Commission declared Poroshenko the elected president of Ukraine in early elections on May 25.
The corresponding protocol was signed by all members of the Commission at the meeting of the Central Election Commission on Monday.
It was also signed by agents of some presidential candidates.
As you know, Poroshenko received the majority of votes – 54.7%. Thus the election was found to have occurred in one round.
As a result, 18,190,544 Ukrainians voted in the election. 54.7% of voters or 9,857,308 people voted for Poroshenko.
According to official data, Yulia Tymoshenko gained 12.81%, Oleg Lyashko – 8.32%, Anatoly Hrytsenko – 5.48%, Serhiy Tihipko – 5.23%, Mykhailo Dobkin – 3.03%, Vadim Rabinovich – 2 25%.
The other candidates received less than 2% of the votes.
The results of the election have been submitted for publication in the newspapers "Holos Ukrainy" and "Uryadovy Kurier".
On Monday, the Acting President of Ukraine, the parliament speaker Oleksandr Turchynov said that he would recommend the parliament to appoint inauguration on June 7.
