In February vegetarians are not welcomed in Budapest!

From 8 to 10 February in Budapest there will be the 6th festival dedicated to Hungarian pig – "mangalitsa."

Since 2010, thanks to the great interest of visitors, this festival gained such popularity that it is organized in such cities as Debrecen, Szeged and Szombathely.

"Mangalitsa" is a Hungarian pig species, which differs significantly from other species. For example: a pig is curly, it is raised in closed dry stables, in winter small piglets can even be kept in the house. They are much cleaner than normal pigs and their meat is much tastier and contains less cholesterine, because they eat eco-friendly food, including – acorns.

At the festival they will present all kinds of the fluffy wonder. Of course, the visitors will be able to taste the delicious products during the entertainment program, which the festival organizers will offer. In addition to pork dishes, various cheeses, jams and honey, made by Hungarian masters, will be presented.

And last, but not the least – the admission to the festival is absolutely free. We wish everyone a good mood and a good appetite.

The festival will be held at the following address: 1050 Budapest, Szabadság Tér.
