Живописці зберуться на пленер… під Говерлою

The plein air is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the death of famous European artist, the head of the Munich school of painting – Shimon Holloshi (1857, Nodbanya – 1918, Tyachiv). Shimon Holloshi was one of the prominent Hungarian naturalism and realism artists and graphics of the XIX century. He founded and ran for a long time the creative team of artists in Nodbanya, and since 1904 every year he conducted plein airs in Tyachiv. In 1915 Shimon Holloshi finally moved his studio to Tyachiv, where he lived until his death.

The plein air in honor of Shimon Holloshi, which will take place in Yasinya, is organized for the promotion of contemporary art in the region, revival of the Carpathian Hutsul traditions and updating of the gallery in the village of Yasinya.

The participants of the plein air are members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, national and honored artists, academics, artists from Transcarpathia and Chernivtsi, Lviv and Kyiv.  Artists from abroad – Hungary, China, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova, which Transcarpathian artists closely collaborate with – will also participate in the plein air.
