On June 17, at 12.00, the celebration of the Day of Medical Workers will take place in the atrium of the main administrative building of the region, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informed
The highlight of the celebration will be the presentation of art works by doctors themselves. Paintings, graphics, embroidered works in different genres and on different subjects have been provided by health care workers from around Transcarpathia. Townspeople and guests of Uzhgorod will be able to enjoy this art therapy until June 22.
And at 15.00, during the exhibition "Carpathian Drag 2016", which is organized for the fifth time by the Transcarpathian Union of Photographers under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art and with the assistance of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the photographers will present about fifty works. The exhibition features photographs that won awards of the Second International Salon of Art Photography – one of the most prestigious specialized competition in Europe. This year it was attended by 470 artists from 62 countries who submitted almost 7000 photographs. At the Uzhgorod exhibition, which, along with the organizers, will be opened by guests from Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Georgia, visitors will have the opportunity to see portraits, traditional sketches and landscapes from leading photo artists from different countries. The exhibition will continue until the end of the month.
