In the evening on August 24, policemen stopped a suspicious young man near one of the cafes on Uzhgorod embankment. It was a 26-year-old resident of Uzhgorod Mykhailo, who in the presence of witnesses took out from his shorts pocket and gave the police officers six plastic bags of marijuana weighing 20 grams. According the man, he was keeping the drugs for his own use and did not intend to sell it. The investigation should find out if it is true.
Half an hour later, on another street the police detained another lover of "high". A 27-year-old Kyrylo from Uzhgorod was illegally keeping three grams of marijuana.
The seized substance was submitted for examination. If it confirms that it is indeed drugs, the defendants in both cases will be prosecuted according to the law – the PR service of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region reported.
