Young Transcarpathian authors are invited to take part in the competition of short fiction “Mountain Horizons”

The famous Ukrainian writer Andriy Kurkov and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine announced a competition of short fiction "Mountain Horizons" for young authors of Transcarpathia. The competition will take place as part of the cultural and artistic project "Cultural Dialogues"

The results of the short fiction contest will be announced on April 15, 2016 and published on the site of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

The deadline for submitting works to the competition is April 10, 2016.

The winners and finalists of short fiction contest for young authors of Transcarpathia will have a chance to take part in a literary workshop.

Recall that in November – December 2015, the project "Bessarabian Dialogues" was held in in Odesa region. The aim of this project was to establish an intelligent dialogue between different cultures, and it took place in Odesa and in the southern part of the region – Bessarabia. The participants of the project were known Ukrainian writers from different cities of Ukraine: Andriy Kurkov, Oleg Shinkarenko, Artem Sopronyuk, Anna Kostenko, Maya Dimerli. Ivan Ryabchiy, Valentin Terletsky, Yulia Pylypenko, Vladislava Ilyinska, Andriy Khayetsky. The writers held meetings with intellectuals of Odesa region and visited a number of cities in the region. mincult.kmu.gov.ua
