Young resident of Mukachevo won the International Stankovych instrumental competition

From 11 to 18 of April, the IV International instrumental competition named after Stankovych – our countryman, world-famous Ukrainian composer and musical figure – took place in Kyiv.

Each year, the most talented children not only from Ukraine, but also from Canada, Belarus, Austria, Germany, China and others take part in the competition.

Young pupil of Mukachevo Children’s Art School number 2 Oleksandr Makarova represented Mukachevo at the competition. In a tough competition she won the diploma of the First Prize (wind and percussion instruments – xylophone, class of Olena Peresta) and diploma of the Second Prize (piano, class of Magdalyna Kozub).
