Yesterday, on Blagoev street, there was a shooting

Yesterday, at 12.00, a resident of the city reported to Uzhgorod city police that near the house at the place of his residence, he had heard sounds similar to gunshots.

The investigative team found out that around 11.50, officers of Uzhgorod criminal police department, in the course of search operations on Drugety street, attempted to check and arrest the persons, who were in the car "Honda" and suspected of thefts from houses in Uzhgorod and Uzhgorod district. The driver disobeyed the orders of the policemen, and ran over the deputy chief of the criminal police department, lieutenant colonel of the police.

As a result of the pursuit, the car was detained near the store "Tisa", on Blagoev street.  During the arrest, the driver was disobeying the police officers, therefore the police officers used weapon against him. Nobody was injured.
