Yesterday, another fatal accident occurred in Transcarpathia

The police have initiated an investigation into the death of a resident of Rakhiv in an accident. The investigation continues.

Yesterday, August 6, in Rakhiv, there was an accident, in which a 53-year-old resident of Rakhiv died. The accident occurred on the highway "Mukachevo-Rohatyn".

As the investigators have found out, the driver of a Volkswagen T4, moving in the village of Kostylivka, lost control and drove into a 5-meter-deep pit. The car collided with a tree. The driver died before the arrival of paramedics.

Currently, the body of the victim was sent for examination, and the car was taken to the impound lot.

Law enforcement officers opened a criminal proceeding over the incident under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving a vehicle, if it caused death of the victim or severe bodily harm).
The investigation continues.
