Yanukovych may become Herman’s brother

In Transcarpathia, in the village of Serednye there is a 3-year-old boy with an unusual name – Brezhynsky Yanukovych Ivanovich.

The boy was born in December 2009 before the presidential election. The parents gave the child such name to support the candidacy of Viktor Yanukovych at the election.

"We wanted Yanukovych to win the election, so we named our boy after him. And it helped. He won" – the boy’s mother Olena Brezhynska explains.

They call the child Yanukovych, without any shortening.

"We would like to invite Viktor Yanukovych to visit us so he would meet the little Yanukovych. So he would know that we have a little Yanukovych," – the boy’s mother says.

The Gypsy family wants to name their next child after someone in the president’s entourage. If it will be a girl, they will name her Anya-Herman.
