WOG company that is successfully developing retail services and a café network at gas filling stations under its own brand WOG opened a new cafe at Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport. WOG CAFE is located opposite the sixth gate on the third floor in the airport departure area of international flights and operates 24/7.
The café covers an area of 155 sq.m and is designed for 40 seats.
‘WOG CAFE has been already working in three airports located in Kyiv and Lviv. Their popularity proves that infrastructure facilities and main transport hubs in Ukraine need exactly this café format. We made the cafe at ‘Lviv’ airport as comfortable as possible. Here, passengers will be able to buy their favorite dishes, drinks from the familiar WOG CAFE menu at their usual prices, as well as the necessary stuff for their journey’, Maxim Pyatakov, WOG CAFÉ network director, says.
Passengers at the airport cafe are offered a wide range of coffee drinks, juices and fresh juices, various dishes and desserts. The menu includes first courses, set breakfasts, salads, fresh sandwiches, pita, hot dogs, croissants, muffins, profiteroles, donuts, patisserie, cakes, cheesecakes and much more. The general menu contains more than 60 names of dishes and drinks.
The café prices are affordable. For example, hotdog XL costs 59 UAH, the average portion of cappuccino is 45 UAH, fresh sandwiches with chicken, tuna or feta cheese are 79 UAH and assorted salads are 85 UAH.
A significant part of the presented menu can be purchased in ‘to go’ format allowing passengers to take away food and drinks on board.
The company expects that the newly opened café will become popular among airport passengers. Thus, according to preliminary calculations, the cafe plans to serve about 500 customers per day.

The management of WOG network of gas filling stations has repeatedly declared that for new WOG CAFE locations it considers transport hubs and infrastructure facilities, since this is the direction the company is interested in from the point of view of customer demand.
It is worth mentioning that in comparison with 2017, in 2018 hot drinks sales at WOG network of gas filling stations have increased by 13% (30 million portions in 2018 versus 26 million cups in 2017). In addition, in 2018, the average WOG CAFE receipt has increased by 13% in comparison with last year (14% for gas filling complexes and 32% at Intercity) .
Within several years of work in Ukraine, WOG CAFE network has managed to earn a reputation as a leader in the food retail market by presenting its products not only at gas filling stations and 16 Intercity high-speed trains, but also in the network of city coffee shops in Kiev and Lviv. According to a marketing study conducted by the international company Nielsen, in 2018 WOG company became the leader among gas filling stations in ‘coffee’ category.

WOG CAFE is a café network of WOG’ Group numbering 386 objects throughout Ukraine. 363 of them are located at WOG gas filling stations, 16 can be found in Intercity high-speed trains, and 8 city cafes are located in Kiev and Lviv.
The first WOG CAFE out of the gas filling station was opened in November 2015 in Kiev. At the same time, the company made a strategic decision to develop a café network out of the gas filling stations by focusing mainly on transport hubs and infrastructure facilities.
