Transcarpathian gardeners assure that anomalous winter "spring" will not damage crops. Such "temporary springs" in the middle of winter are already familiar in the region, so the plants have adapted to them, Zelene Zakarpattya informs.
Uzhgorod gardener Mykhailo Babidorych assures: "Firstly, most of our crops are cold-resistant.And even those that are not have already adapted to the "Transcarpathian weather." Secondly, such a temperature has been lasting not for long, and is not going to last much longer, on the Orthodox Christmas, we expect real winter frosts. The trees "will not wake up" in such a short time.
However, the specialist advises all Transcarpathians, who have gardens, to collect annual shoots after the first frost and move them to the basement or other place with the above the zero temperature – to cultivate them in the spring.
