Winter has returned Transcarpathia, and snowdrops have blossomed on the Castle Hill in Khust (PHOTOS)

Winter will not go away, and after ice floods, frosts and thaws, once again reminds of itself with a heavy snowfall.

But a few weeks ago, first spring flowers have appeared in the region, and they could be purchased in different parts of Transcarpathia. A bouquet cost 5 to 20 UAH.

And these days, snowdrops have appeared not only in the Carpathian virgin forests, but also on the Castle Hill in Khust, the zakarpatpost.net informs.

"The first flowers I saw here in early February. Then they disappeared, probably someone picked them. And now, they have blossomed again, though in a different place. In general, the nature of the Castle Hill is rich in unique vegetation. There are many forest flowers here. In April and May, the Hill is covered with periwinkle, and soon, snowdrop lawns will appear here" – local resident Maria Korol says.

Castle Hill is not the only place in Khust, where snowdrops and saffrons bloom. In early spring, the famous Narcissus Valley becomes a continuous snowdrop field and shimmers with blue and white flowers.
