At the initiative of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, an innovation has been introduced in the Ministry of Internal Affairs – the public will be engaged in the work of the personnel commission that appoints candidates for senior positions in the police, the site of the regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed.
According to this principle, they have elected the head of Ternopil police, where the opinion of the Personnel Commission and that of the public coincided. In Lviv, they have agreed on three candidates, from among whom the community will elect the chief of the police. Currently, they have announced similar competitions in Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kirovograd regions.
The acting Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region, police colonel Serhiy Sharanych assured that the Transcarpathian police Personnel Commission will also include representatives of the public and journalists who will directly participate in the work of the Personnel Commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region.
