Who will be lustrated in Transcarpathia? (NAMES)

Officials, who have served to Yanukovych’s regime, will finally lose their positions. This is stipulated by the law "On lustration of power", which will take effect from tomorrow. Civil servants, who have occupied leadership positions under the previous government, shall be released within ten days – so is provided under the lustration law. Persons covered by the Law shall not have right to work in government agencies for 10 years.

The first prohibition applies to persons, who for at least one year have held any posts between February 25, 2010 and February 22, 2014.

The following officials come within the provisions of the Law: heads and deputy heads of territorial (regional) offices of Prosecution Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the central bodies of executive power establishing and implementing the national tax and / or customs policy, tax police in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol.

The following Transcarpathian officials come within the provisions of the Law: the former prosecutors of the region Anatoliy Petrun, Volodymyr Korban, the current regional prosecutor Oleg Sydorchuk (for more than a year, he worked as the deputy prosecutor of Kyiv region), two current Deputy Prosecutors of the Transcarpathian region – Anatoliy Savchenko and Mykhailo Khyl (for more than a year, they were working in these positions under the previous government).

The former chiefs of the regional police – Victor Rusin and Vasyl Vartsaba will not be eligible to hold offices for more than 10 years. The former regional taxman Vasyl Ivancho and the former Head of Chop Customs Serhiy Kharchenko will also be lustrated.

Victor Baloha, who for almost two years served as the Minister of Emergencies, will not be eligible to work in the government.

The second prohibition applies to persons, who have occupied position (positions) from November 21, 2013 to February 22, 2014 and during this period did not voluntarily resign from the corresponding positions (positions).

A lot of Transarpathian Regions come within the provisions of the Law. So, for the next 10 years Transcarpathians will not see in the government the ex-Governor Oleksandr Ledyda, his deputies Igor Svyshcho, Ivan Bushko, Ivan Kachur, Pavlo Cherevko. Heads of district state administrations, who as of February 22 had not written letters of resignation, will also be deprived of the right to hold public offices. Those are: the head of Tyachiv DSA Vasyl Brynzyanyk, the head of Beregovo DSA Volodymyr Hulyanych, the head of Mukachevo DSA Eduard Duda, the head of Irshava DSA Vasyl Kovbasko, the head of Volovets DSA Vasyl Kultan, the head of Mizhhirya DSA Vasyl Shchur, the head of Khust DSA Vasyl Yakubets, the head of Uzhgorod DSA Victor Ledida, the head of Rakhiv DSA Dmytro Andriyuk, the head of Svalyava DSA Ivan Drohobetsky, the head of Perechin DSA Petro Hrytsyk and the head of Velyky Berezny DSA Roman Rohach.
