"Naftogaz of Ukraine" raises the wholesale price of gas for the population by 15% as of May 1. As a result, the retail price of gas will increase from 8.55 UAH to 9.72 UAH per cubic meter.
"Naftogaz of Ukraine" sent to the "Zakarpatgaz Zbut" the draft additional agreement to the gas supply contract, by which, as of May 1, 2019, the wholesale price of gas for the population increases from 7482.61 to 8621.76 UAH per thousand cubic meters. This is 1139.15 UAH (15%) more than the current price. The tariffs for gas distribution remain the same.
As a result of this action of the state gas monopolist "Naftogaz of Ukraine", the retail price of gas for the population will increase to 9.72 UAH per cubic meter. Naftogaz’s share in this price will grow to 90% (now it is 88%).
It should be noted that "Zakarpatgaz Zbut" last month appealed to the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" with a request to reduce the gas price for the population due to lower prices in the gas market. In response, Naftogaz refused to reduce its gas prices.
