According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Population Census is scheduled to be held from November 10 to December 23, 2020. The State Statistics Service site reports that the population of Ukraine is 41 million 990 thousand people (excluding temporarily occupied territories). And demographic scientists estimate that this figure is exaggerated by 2-3 million. The 2020 Census will not only identify "dead souls" but will also give an understanding of the country’s social slice, housing stock, income sources of Ukrainians, and more. The information obtained can be the basis for the generation of management decisions in almost all areas of socio-economic life. The census has not been conducted for almost two decades – the last one was in 2001. According to this census, the total population of Ukraine in 2001 was 48.45 million.
According to the State Statistics Service, UAH 3,431 billion will be allocated from the state budget 2020.
Ukrainians will be interviewed by 100,000 interviewers who will be working with tablets. During the census, answers to a number of questions will be found. In particular, we can finally get an answer to the mysterious and painful question: how many of our compatriots actually go to work abroad? The census will also help to determine the estimated volume of migration. Each respondent will be asked whether he or she plans to leave Ukraine and why.

The census will give information for the country as a whole, as well as for each district, city, village. The government will get a treasure that several generations of its predecessors did not have. And we will all finally find out how many people exactly live in Ukraine.
