Men’s downhill skiing competition at the 2018 Olympic Games was postponed to Thursday, February 15, due to strong wind.
This was reported by the organizers of the event in Pyeongchang, the Holos.UA informs
The athletes were supposed to compete for the first set of awards.
As you know, one representative of Ukraine – Ivan Kovbasnyuk – takes part in this competition. Also, due to weather conditions, qualification races in women’s slope style were canceled.
The organizers of the Olympics decided to allow all 27 snowboarders to compete in final races, which will be held on February 12. Instead of the two qualifying and three final races, the women will be competing only in two final races, during which the winners of the medals will be determined.
