“When the bright star…” – now on stage (PHOTOS)

On December 19, the pre-premiere show of the Christmas fairy-tale "When the bright star…" based on Oleksandr Havrosh’s book "Christmas Doggy" took place on the stage of the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater in Uzhgorod (the premiere took place on December 22). It was produced by Vyacheslav Davidyuk, the chief director of the Transcarpathian Drama and Comedy Theater based in Khust. The hall was packed. On that day, children from all districts of the region came to the ceremony of lighting of the main regional Christmas tree on Narodna Square. And before that there was a surprise – a fairy tale in the theater.

Half an hour before the beginning, a press conference was held with the participation of journalist and playwright Oleksandr Havrosh and theater director Vasyl Mariukhnich.

O. Havrosh said that the play is "an attempt to create something Transcarpathian". “Christmas is a very important holiday in the region. Therefore, the idea of ​​the play is to promote customs, traditions that are being forgotten. I want the kids to see them in the theater as well . To understand that it’s cool and fashionable," – he sums up.
