When selling the “Crown” Uzhgorod city council did not evaluate the building of ​​over 1000 square meters – preliminary investigations are being conducted

During the trial in the Commercial Court of Transcarpathian region, the Prosecutor studied the materials on the privatization of the "Crown" complex at: Uzhgorod, Teatralna sq., including materials on the evaluation of the privatized property.
Prosecution of Uzhgorod found out that the Department of Municipal Economy of Uzhgorod City Council at the sale of the "Crown" did not evaluate one of its buildings of ​​over 1000 sq.m. in area.
However, the Director of the Municipal Economy Department of Uzhgorod City Council, contrary to the Law of Ukraine "On privatization of small state-owned enterprises (small privatization)", approved the conclusion about the value of the "Crown" without a proper evaluation of one of the buildings of the complex of ​​over 1,000 square meters in area, while the object was being sold in its entirety.
The prosecution of Uzhgorod conducts preliminary investigations over the violation of the procedure for privatization of the specified property in the criminal proceedings, which are included in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under Part 1 of Art. 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or authority – punishable by custodial restraint for up to five years, or imprisonment for a term of two to five years, with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years and with a fine of two hundred fifty to five hundred times the minimum income).
