What, where, when on weekend in Transcarpathia (June 18 – 20)

June, 18-19 – the celebration of the Pentecost. June 18 – "Day for the commemoration of the dead." 18.00 – Evening worship, 19.00 – Mass for the dead. 21.00 – Way of the Cross. 23.00 Mass for the gifts of the Holy Spirit (in the temple). Night Vigil (on the square). June 19 – "Pentecost." 8.30 – Blessing of water. Prime. 9.30 – Akathist to the Holy Spirit, 10.30 -Procession with a miraculous icon, 11.00 – Bishop Divine Liturgy 18.00 – Vespers with kneeling prayers to the Holy Spirit (Monastery of St. Nicholas, Tsentralna Street, 156, the village of Maly Berezny in Velyky Berezny district).

June 18-19 – 4th Festival of Riplyanka.   All the money raised during the festival by the organizing committee will be sent to Transcarpathian soldiers in the ATO area. Beginning at 14.00 (museum complex "Old Village" Kolochava village, Mizhhirya district).

June 18-19 – quality documentary – screening of the best works of the festival "Jihlava" (free admission). "Stanley Kubrick’s cinema" Dukhnovich st., 25 (Uzhgorod).          

June 19 – on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the first concert and the 120th anniversary of Petro Miloslavsky. The Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir presents "Look into the past." At 17.00 – Art Mob (Teatralna Square), 18.00 – the first historic concert (puppet theater "Bavka"), 19.30 – big concert of the choir (Fentsyk square, near the regional Philharmonics) (Uzhgorod).

Exhibitions and expositions:

– Exhibition of paintings of known artist, one of the founders of the Transcarpathian school of painting Adalbert Erdelyi. Several dozen works from museum collections as well as from private collections are presented. Some of them are exhibited for the first time. 10.00- 18.00 (day off – Monday) (Art Museum.Y.Bokshay Art Museum)

– With the support of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod, the exhibition of Slovak artist with Uzhgorod roots Nikolaj Fedkovic "Nikolaj Fedkovic TOUR". 11.00 – 21.00, Sundays – 12.00 – 19.00 (Ilko gallery, Koshitska st., Uzhgorod).

– Photo exhibition "The war that does not exist." The event is dedicated to the heroic deeds of the 128th Brigade while withdrawing from Debaltseve and those fallen in battle with Russian invaders (District House of Culture, Irshava). 

– Exhibition of works titled "Children’s world in the works of People’s Artist of Ukraine A.A.Kotska." 10.00-17.00 (Sunday – 13.00-17.00 (Memorial House and Museum of People’s Artist of Ukraine Andriy Kotska, Vinnychna Str., 20, Uzhgorod).

– Exhibition of creative works by artists of the region (beads, root plastics). 11.00-15.00 (gallery "Impasto",  Shevchenko street, 8, Vynogradiv).
