What, where, when on weekend in Transcarpathia (February 25 – 26)

February 25 – Nomen educational platform presents the next public meeting. This time, with historian Volodymr Hutsul. The chronological limits of this conversation is the period from the arrival of Hungarian tribes to the Carpathian lowlands until the Christianization of Hungary, namely from the end of the ninth to the first third of the eleventh century. This conversation will not be just a retelling of historical facts, but the discussion of the modern principles of a historian’s work, as well as advantages, drawbacks and limits of historical knowledge. The beginning is at 14.00 (entrance fee is 55 UAH). ("Owl’s Nest", Rakoczy st., Uzhgorod).

– Charity Foundation "Revival of historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine named after the Hero of Ukraine B.Voznytsky" presents the exhibition "Crowns of the World." The retrospect exhibition of the main symbols of power of past eras includes crowns, headwear of spiritual and secular leaders from around the world, lost civilizations (Chapel pf the Transcarpathian Local Lore Museum, Uzhgorod).
