December 29 – presentation of the documentary film "Morning on the Tisa: from idea to air" (about the history of the TV).   Director – student of the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Philology of UzhNU Daniil Samsonov. The beginning is at 14.30 (Transcarpathian academic puppet theater "Bavka", Uzhgorod).

December 29 – "New Year’s Eve movie show". Movies about love, friendship and winter miracles – "Old New Year" (2011), "Guardians of Legends" (2012) and "New Year’s Eve Party" (2016) (free entrance, delicious food and tea are welcome). 10.00 – 15.00 (Transcarpathian Regional Universal Library, the city of Uzhgorod).

December 29 – International Judo Tournament "Santa Claus Cup" among boys and girls born in 2006 – 2011. The beginning is at 10.00 (UzhNU sports complex, Ivan Franko st., 1, Uzhgorod).

December 29 – Open boxing championship. About a hundred participants aged 10 to 21 from cities and districts of Transcarpathia are expected. The solemn opening is at 13.00 (sports complex "Ippon", Uzhgorod).

December 29 – "Excursions of Mukachevo and Transcarpathia" organize an excursion with torches in the night castle. The beginning is at 19.00 (Palanok castle, Mukachevo).

– photo exhibition of Olga Timofeeva "Spiritual paths of the region" (Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, the city of Uzhgorod).

– exhibition of folk clothes and household items from the private collection of Irina Turtsanash (exhibition hall "Impasto", Vynogradiv).

– "New Year composition" – district exhibition, initiated by the Tyachiv district student ecological and naturalistic center. 275 works from 38 educational establishments of the district and 36 creative students’ associations (Center of Children and Youth Creativity and hall of the DSA, Tyachiv).

– "Forest: from seed to seed" – photo exhibition devoted to the work of foresters of the region (atrium of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Narodna Square, 4, Uzhgorod).
