What, where, when on weekend in Transcarpathia (7 – 8 of September)

September 7 – campaign "Clean today – rest tomorrow". The beginning is at 11.00 (Bozdosh Park, Uzhgorod) 

September 7 – "Mukachevo Murph Challenge" – the legendary crossfit event "The Murph" for the first time (Peremoha Park (location – near the sakura alley), Mukachevo). 

September 7-8 – the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod hosts the cultural and gastronomic festival "hUNGary Fest" for the third time. The official opening is on September 7 at 11.00, performances on the stage are at 11.30 -18.30, September 8 – 11.00 -16.00 (Pravoslavna Embankment, Uzhgorod) 

September 7-8 – "Dobo Fest" organized by the Pro Cultura Subcarpatica in honor of Istvan Dobo, Hungarian baron, owner of the Serednye Castle, heroic defender of the Eger Fortress from Turkish troops in 1552. Workshops, entertainment. September 7 – the village of Chaslivtsi (at 16.00), September 8 – the village of Serednye (at 16.00) (Uzhgorod district). 

September 7-8 – the three-day food festival "Czech Days in Transcarpathia", which started on September 6. Interesting cultural program, traditional Czech dishes and beer of famous Czech brands (Narodna Sq., Uzhgorod) 

September 8 – XVIII Gastronomic Festival-Fair "Hutsul Bryndzya". At 8.00 – opening of the exhibitions of folk artists and fair and sale of sheep products (Burkut st., the "Burkut" amphitheater). At 11:00, festive procession will march from Bohdan Khmelnytsky street to the amphitheater, where the opening ceremony of the festival-fair will take place. Traditionally, there will be the inflammation of the bonfire, trembita, mandolin and drymba melodies. Also the participants and guests, will meet the shepherds returning from the pastures. The stars of the concert program will be Honored Artists of Ukraine Svitlana Vesna, Pavlo Doskoch, participant of the TV show "The Voice" Oksana Romanyuk, super finalist of the TV show "The Voice" Mykhailo Myrka and other star collectives. In order to promote the Hutsul bryndzya, famous Lviv brand chef Serhiy Pozhar will hold a master class on cooking of modern bryndzya dishes. At the master class, the brand chef will present a new, modern vision of cooking with Hutsul bryndzya by combining it with products that are not typical for the region. The beginning is at 13.00 at the stand of the Association of producers of traditional Carpathian highland cheese with the support of the EU project "Development of the system of geographical indications in Ukraine" ("Burkut" Tract, Rakhiv). 

September 8 – The Traditional Non-Olympic Games Festival, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the strongest man on the planet of the twentieth century – Ivan Firtsak (stadium, the village of Bilky, Irshava district) 

September 8 – fairy tale for children of preschool and school age "Mouse and pink ribbon". The beginning is at 11.00 and 13.00 (Transcarpathian academic puppet theater "Bavka", Uzhgorod)  

September 8 – Football championship of the region. The beginning is at 15.30 (stadium, Irshava).

– personal exhibition of Uzhgorod artist Petro Sholtes (Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod, Pravoslavna Embankment, Uzhgorod) 

– on the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine, an exhibition of works of the members of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Every day (except Monday), 11.00-18.00, Saturday – 11.00-15.00, Sunday -11.00 – 13.00 ("Uzhgorod" gallery, Uzhgorod) 

– display "Art and craft casting of Transcarpathia in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries." Permanent exhibition "Inter arma silent musa" ("When cannons fire, the muses are silent"). 300 original exhibits, historical photographs, children’s drawings and gifts, history and popular publications. Every day, except Mondays, 10.00 – 18.00 (Transcarpathian Local Lore Museum, Kapitulna st., 33, Uzhgorod) 

– works of masters of decorative and applied art of Transcarpathia. Weaving, embroidery, carving, ceramics, etching, and more. In another hall – exhibition "Inspired by doll" and a personal exhibition of paintings by Serhiy Hlushchuk "A New Meeting". Every day (except Tuesday) 10.00 – 18.00 (Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, Kapitulna st., 33 "a" Uzhgorod) 

– "Embroidered Miracle. Motifs of Folk Embroidery in the Works of Transcarpathian Artists". About 100 works from museum collections, private collections and contemporary works. Every day (except Monday) 9.30-17.30 (Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum,J. Boksha Zhupanatska square, Uzhgorod) 

– new display on the 75-year-old events, when the Hungarian authorities, on the orders from the Nazi command, sent echelons with Transcarpathian Jews to the concentration camp Auschwitz and a story of a Jewish girl from the village of Bilky Lilia Jakob. Every day, except for weekends (on weekends – by appointment) (history and local lore museum, Irshava). 

– new exhibition "Winter motifs in the works of A. Kotska", which is the final one in the series "Seasons of the year in the landscapes of Andriy Kotska" (Memorial House and Museum of People’s Artist of Ukraine Andriy Kotska, Vinnychna st., 20, Uzhgorod)  

– new exhibition "F. Manaylo’s Monumental Art" (Memorial House-Museum of People’s Artist of Ukraine F. Manaylo, Drugety st., 74, Uzhgorod)
