The events of the film take place in the interwar period in Budapest.
"Ten thousand days / Tízezer nap" (1967), dir. Ferenc Kósa (historical drama. Events in Hungary through the eyes of three men in the course of more than 30-year period. The competitor of the Cannes Film Festival 1967, where Kósa was awarded as the best director).
"Hungarian Rhapsody / Magyar rapszódia" (1979), dir. Miklós Jancsó (the first chapter of the trilogy about the dramatic history of Hungary from the beginning of the century to the Second World War. Perticipant of the Cannes Film Festival in 1979). "Stalin’s Bride / Sztálin menyasszonya" (1991), dir. Peter Bacso (both funny and tragic story of a crazy village woman, who was called "Stalin’s bride").
"Men in the Nude / Ferfiakt" (2006), dir. Karoly Esztergalyos (a story of relationship between a married 49-year-old writer and a 19-year-old boy. In 2007, the film participated in numerous international film festivals in Berlin, Chicago and Rio de Janeiro). "Hanussen" (1988), dir. Istvan Szabo. (after World War I, Klaus Schneider begins a new life and becomes a known hypnotist and clairvoyant attracting the attention of Nazi leaders.
