What, where, when on the weekend in Transcarpathia (7 – 8 of July)

July 7 – On Saturday, the 6th week after Pentecost, His Eminence Theodore, Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod will conduct the Bishop’s Service. The beginning is at 10.00 (St. John the Forerunner Monastery, the village of Dubrivka, Irshava district).

July 7 – Literary monologue of Oleksandr Dulishkovich "Source of creative inspiration" from the cycle "Literary weekend reading". The beginning is at 16.00 (Central City Library, the city of Mukachevo);

July 7 – "KUPALA Fest" – traditional Ukrainian crafts and original creative workshops, entertainment and cool music, weaving of wreaths with field flowers, jumping over fire and an exciting fire show on the water. There will also be demonstrations of ethnic clothes, tasting of eco-food, fun snail races… The beginning is at 12.00 (free entrance) (Schonborn Park, Voyevodino Resort, the village of Turya Pasika, Perechyn district).

July 7-9 – 15th International festival-contest of young poets and writers, journalists, artists, photographers, songwriters and literature artists "Rekitske Suzirya-2018". More than 250 contestants from 19 regions of Ukraine and abroad will take place in the event (the town of Mizhhirya).

July 8 – Family Club on the topic "Family Responsibilities" organized by the Mukachevo Orthodox Eparchy. The beginning is at 17.00 (Church of St. John, Timiryazev st., 17, Uzhgorod).

July 8 – Children’s play "Thank you, Barbie!". The beginning is at 12.00 (drama theater, Mukachevo).

July 8 – Performance "Master and Margarita" (starring People’s Artist of Ukraine Olga Sumska). The beginning is at 19.00 (drama theater, Mukachevo).

July 8 – Solemn closing and awarding of the winners of the XII International Chess Festival "Mukachevo Summer – 2018". The beginning is at 15.00 (Eventum Hall, Mukachevo).

July 8 – premiere "Birthday of Leopold the Cat". The beginning is at 12.00 (ticket price – 40 UAH); "A Step from Love" based on the well-known work of Mykhailo Starytsky "Gypsy Aza" (directed by Honored Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Shershun). The beginning is at 18.00 (60-80 UAH) (Regional Music and Drama Theater, Uzhgorod).

– artist Vasyl Brenzovych presents his works. The exhibition is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of his chairmanship at the Association of Professional Artists of Transcarpathia. Every day, except Monday, 9.30 -17.30 (Transcarpathian Art Museum, the city of Uzhgorod).
