What, where, when in Transcarpathia on weekend (11 – 12 of March)

March 11 – Educational platform Nomen continues a series of public talks and educational meetings in Uzhgorod – this time, it will be a virtual tour "Between Poland and Ukraine: from landscape to graffiti" from Błażej Rusyn (artist of Polish origin, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, who lives in Uzhgorod). Common elements of Ukrainian and Polish cultures ​​and the evolution of art from academic painting to graffiti will be discussed at the meeting with Błażej Rusyn. The beginning is at 14.00 (entrance fee is 55 UAH). ("Owl’s Nest", Rakoczy st., Uzhgorod).

March 11 – Studio "Kosytsya" starts a new course on traditional embroideries. The first introductory lesson: discussion of the lessons, materials needed for further work. Lecture on Transcarpathian embroidery – regional specificity of embroidery in major districts of the region, main ornamental motifs, colors, mutual influence in neighboring regions (lecturer – Vasyl Kotsan). Beginning at 12.00 (price – 50 UAH). March 12 – fairy-tale "Amazing Bird" (I. and Ya.
