What, where, when in Transcarpathia (2 – 3 of September)

September 2 – "100 minutes outside of time" – a musical theatrical program in the castle. The program includes: a musical journey with a string quartet, a unique stand-up from Serhiy Dobosh, a dramatized costume perfomance with torches in the castle. The beginning is at 21.00 (price – 150 UAH, duration -2 hours) (Palanok castle, Mukachevo).

September 2 – Open one-day hiking trip to the Ostra Hora Mountain (1405 m) organized by the Tourist Club. Duration – 8 hours (hiking part). Route: the village of Pashkivtsi – Hostra Hora (Ostra Hora) Mt. – the village of Pashhkivtsi. Departure at 6.00 from Uzhgorod (price – 165-175 UAH) Pre-registration of participants by phone: +380 67 958 38 20 (Uzhgorod – Volovets district).

September 2 – School of Local Democracy: Public Budget. Participation in the event is free of charge (preliminary registration) (city council, Mukachevo).

September 2-3 – the first in Ukraine cultural and technological festival "Dronevar" (city of drones). About 40 pilots from Ukraine (Kyiv, Chernivtsi) and abroad (Hungary, Baltic States), as well as one from Australia will come to Uzhgorod to fly their drones and demonstrate the innovative sport – drone racing. The beginning is at 10.00 (two days) (admission is free) (the castle moat, Uzhgorod).

September 2-3 – School of Uzhgorod Resident: Urban Studies and Architecture for Children and Parents. The program is developed by professional partners Kublo Art Center – Children’s Architectural School (NGO "Critical Thinking") from Kharkiv within the framework of the CHOICE project. Interesting lessons with a young and very interesting architect Yulia Korotkikh. We will be talking about the city, buildings, space and our senses; design a street ourselves, solve infrastructure problems and fantasize. All this in the form of a game, fun and easy (participation is free). The beginning is at 11.00 (LIK, Fedynets st., 39 A, Uzhgorod).

September 3 – The first parade of redheads "RED HAIR DAY".  The beginning is at 18.00. Cyril and Methodius sq. (near the Drama Theater, Mukachevo).

September 3 – the largest gastronomic festival of Transcarpathia "Hutsul bryndzya", which will be held for the 17th time. Guests will be able to buy and enjoy dozens of varieties of sheep cheese and other traditional dishes, as well as learn about the traditions, crafts and art of Hutsuls. Program: 10.00 – 11.00 – demonstrative performances on the Hutsul breed horses (square near the Rakhiv district state administration); the original "Korbach-show", which will be held for the first time (korbach is a whip for cattle grazing). 11.00 – 11.45 – festive march on B. Khmelnitsky Street to the Burkut amphitheater, 11.45-12.30 – opening ceremony of the festival-fair, inflammation of a bonfire, 12.30-14.00 – exhibition of folk craftsmen and the fair of sheep breeding products; master classes on making of Hutsul dishes; 14.00-22.00 – concert and entertainment program. Special guest of the festival is People’s Artist of Ukraine Ruslana Lyzhychko. Guests will also be entertained by People’s Artist of Ukraine Alla Kudlay, duet "Pysanka", participants of the "X-Factor" – Alla Ivashina, group "Bez Obmezhen", finalist of the show "Ukraine’s Got Talents" Petro Skazkiv and the band "Petros", quartet "Hetman" " and others (amphitheater "Burkut", Rakhiv).

– "Transcarpathia – the land of antiquity and beauty" – a photo exhibition organized by the Union of Photo-Artists of Transcarpathia and the Department of Culture of the Regional State Administration. The photos of the following authors are presented: Ivan Burkalo, Yaroslav Makar, Stepan Polyansky, Volodymyr Nyorba, Yaroslav Dulenko, Yuriy Turyanytsia, Yevhen Bakkay, Vasyl Fitskolynets, Oleg Ilchin, Leonid Zakrevsky (Lobby of the RSA, Narodna Sq. 4, Uzhgorod).
