What, where, when in Transcarpathia (2 – 3 of December)

Traditional announcement of the upcoming weekend events!

December 2 – Educational club "Hombichka" organizes the workshop of N. Shtal "Order at home forever according to the ConMary method". The number of participants is limited, the entrance is for a fee. The beginning is at 16.00 (Teatralna st., 19 b (above the "Zhyva" cafe), Uzhgorod).

December 2 – the opening of the mini-sculpture "Swan Lake" by M. Kolodko. The beginning is at 12.00 (opposite the regional TV, Kyivska embankment, Uzhgorod).

December 2 – in the framework of the "Starry November", Khmelnytsky Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater presents the tragedy "Bridegroom from Jerusalem" by Yosef Bor Yosef. The beginning is at 17.00 (Drama Theater, Mukachevo).

December 2 – on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, "Volunteer Fest" (presentations of volunteer movements and NGOs about their volunteering activities). The beginning is at 14.00 (free entrance) (Information and Resource Center "Window to America", Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, the city of Uzhgorod).

December 2 – tourist excursion project "Open Transcarpathian Smithy". The beginning is at 14.00 (Territory of the "Historical Smithy-1701", "Detsa u Notarya", the city of Uzhgorod).

December 2 – 3 – volunteer photo project "If it were not for the war". Presentation of the photo exhibition and the book "If it were not for the war". In total, the exhibition includes 122 portraits of the ATO Heroes, divided into 8 thematic blocks. Saturday – Sunday 11.00 -17.00 (Svoboda Ave., "Uzhgorod" gallery, the city of Uzhgorod).

December 2 – 3 – the exhibition "Women of Uzhgorod", created by young, but ambitious artists Ingrid Kepkova and Victoria Lendelova (Slovakia, Kosice). 13.00 – 19.00 (entrance is free) ("Owl’s Nest", Uzhgorod).

December 3 – Within the framework of "Starry November", the theater "Sklad 2.0" from Lviv with Eva Yakubovska and Olena Loyik present the suspence performance "Mainz". The beginning is at 17.00 (Drama Theater, Mukachevo).

December 3 – Weekend Music. Chopin, Lysenko (full series of piano works). Performed by People’s Artist of Ukraine Etella Chupryk. The beginning is at 16.00 (Regional Philharmonic, Uzhgorod).

December 3 – "Red Hat, or Adventure in the Carpathians" (director – People’s Artist of Ukraine A.Filippov). The beginning is at 12.00 (ticket price – 40 UAH); "A Step from Love" based on the well-known work of Mykhailo Starytsky "Gypsy Aza" (directed by Honored Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Shershun). The beginning is at 18.00 (60-80 UAH) (Regional Music and Drama Theater, Uzhgorod).

December 3 – Oleksandr Veselov "Snowmen and the Sun" (for preschool and school age children). The beginning is at 11.00 and 13.00 (Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theater "Bavka", Uzhgorod).

December 3 – XI district competition "Believe in Yourself" dedicated to the International Day of the Disabled. The beginning is at 10.00 (the village of Ilnytsia, Irshava district)

Exhibitions:

– works of the children’s studio "Children’s palms". Every day, except Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday – Saturday – 11.00-17.00, Sunday – 11.00-15.00 ("Impasto" Gallery, Shevchenko st., 8, Vynogradiv).

– "Synthesis" is the title of the exhibition of works by two artists well-known in Transcarpathia and beyond: the father – the Honored Artist of Ukraine Ivan Didyk and daughter Ivanka Voitovich, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Every day, except Monday, 9.30 -17.30 (Transcarpathian Art Museum,  the city of Uzhgorod).

– IXth International Exhibition "Carpathian Biennial – 2017". The series presents about 200 works of young graphic artists from five countries of the Carpathian region: Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and Hungary. The exhibition is the result of the competition held in the summer in the city of Humenne (Slovakia). Every day (except Tuesday) 10.00 – 18.00 (Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, Uzhgorod).

– Ukrainian artist Tiberiy Silvash, who works in the genre of a new abstract art (born in Mukachevo, lives and works in Kyiv). This is the first time Silvashi’s works will be presented in Transcarpathian region as a holistic project. Every day, except Monday 11.00-21.00, Sunday 12.00-19.00 (Art Center "Ilko Gallery", Koshitska street,Uzhgorod).

– permanent ensemble exhibition "History of Transcarpathia from the 8th century to 1919" (the project was implemented thanks to the close cooperation of the Transcarpathian Regional Local Lore Museum and Nyiregyhaza Museum, with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod and with the assistance of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the Transcarpathian Regional Council (Kapitulna st. 33, the castle, Uzhgorod).

– permanent exhibition "Wooden church architecture of Transcarpathia". Features 109 paintings by Ivan Shutyev from the series "Prayer in Wood", 43 models of folk craftsman from Mizhhirya district Andriy Vorobets (Pirogov st. 4, Mukachevo).

– art of A. Kotka. Every day, except Monday. 10.00-17.00, Sunday – 13.00-17.00 (Memorial House and Museum of People’s Artist of Ukraine Andriy Kotska, Vinnychna Str., 20, Uzhgorod).
