What, where, when in Transcarpathia (1 – 2 of April)

April 1 – Presentation of the project "Tourist Philharmonic." The program includes a tour of the big concert hall and a concert of the Philharmonic soloist Katerina Hazho (organ). The beginning is at 13.00 (Regional Philharmonic, Uzhgorod).

April 1 – calendar games of the football championship of Transcarpathian region in two age categories: born in 2002-2003 and 2004-2005. Khust city sports school "Khust-Narciss" hosts teams of the village of Dubove. The beginning of the games is at 13.30 and 14.30 (Stadium "Karpaty", Khust).

April 1 – Day of public welfare (Toloka). During this campaign, throughout the region, settlements and the surrounding areas will be brought in proper sanitary condition, monuments, cemeteries, fences will be fixed up, etc.

April 1 – bike ride / bike parade to open the bike season 2017. Route:
Uzhgorod – Onokivtsi – Nevytske – Nevytsky Castle – Uzhgorod. Photo session, discussion of future routes, several master classes on bike repair. After-party with prizes in the cafe "The Doors"! Details on the Uzhgorod Bicycle Culture. The start is at 10.00 (Uzhgorod).

April 1 – interactive children’s play from the Theater of Kyiv Puppets "Puppy patrol gathers friends". The beginning is at 12.00 (50 – 90 UAH) and 17.00 (60 – 150 UAH) (Regional Music and Drama Theater, Uzhgorod).

April 1-2 – Easter ethnic fair, organized by the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers. 44 hand-maders (soap makers, confectioners, makers of soft toys). There will be also a great variety of Easter eggs: painted, embroidered and even with carving on the shell. And also a win-win lottery full of interesting surprises. At this event, volunteers will be raising money for the 15th separate mountain infantry battalion of the legendary 128th Brigade. This time the purpose is to improve living conditions of the soldiers and recreation facilities in the unit. The beginning is at 15.00 (Teatralna Sq,, Uzhgorod).

April 1-2 – UKRAINIAN FASHION BAZAAR, organized by Olga Mikula and the NGO "National cultural space "Dzherela" (Chairman – O. Tykhovska). Program: April 1 – 16:30 Ethno-performances: a demonstration of national costumes from the Transcarpathian museum of folk architecture, brand "NACHO" Nazarchuk & Cholak (Lviv) with ethnic collection, Olga Mikula (Uzhgorod), ethnic jewelry collection "Heritage of generations", Tata Kalita (Lviv): ethnic collection "Drop of ethnics", Tinatin Magalashvili (Tbilisi, Georgia): a collection of ready-to-wear autumn / winter 2017/18. April 2 – "The Bremen Town Musicians" by H.K.Andersen. The beginning is at 12.00 (25 UAH), the performance "Caution – women" by A. Kureychyk (director – O. Sarkisyants) (30 – 80 UAH). The beginning is at 18.00 (Regional Music and Drama Theater, Uzhgorod).

April 2 – Bike ride "Paths of Pintea, the Giant." Route: Khust – Velyatino – Khust (about 20 km). In Velyatino all participants will be able to bathe in thermal pools for free. The gathering is at 10:45, start is at 11:00 (Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Khust).

– "4+1". Leading Transcarpathian artists, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Boris Kuzma, Lyudmila Korzh-Radko, Vasyl Skakandiy and Petro Feldeshi will present their watercolor works. Slovakia will be represented by Andriy Smolak – known Slovak artist who has his own gallery in the city of Snina. Every day (except Monday) 10.00 – 18.00, Saturday – 11.00 – 15.00 ("Uzhgorod" gallery, Svoboda Avenue, Uzhgorod).

– Exhibition – Competition "Arise, Pysanko!" The competition was attended by 33 schools, 2 school and 31 preschool educational institution (District House of Culture, Rachel).

– Exhibition of works by international photo competition winner, member of the Union of Photographers of Transcarpathia, member of the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine Mykola Potsko from Svalyava (sanatorium "Kvitka polonyny", Solochyn village, Svalyava district);

– Charity Foundation "Revival of historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine named after the Hero of Ukraine B.Voznytsky" presents the exhibition "Crowns of the World." The retrospect exhibition of the main symbols of power of past eras includes crowns, headwear of spiritual and secular leaders from around the world, lost civilizations (Chapel pf the Transcarpathian Local Lore Museum, Uzhgorod).
