What’s the bench’s “fault”? (Photofact)

Uzhgorod is an interesting city! With its patriots, activists and talented people. But, as they say, every family has… vandals. In the so-called Tsaplia, in the park on Zhupanatska square, the same bench has repeatedly suffered from them. It has been spoilt with markers, names of people and cities scratched on it and, unfortunately, its boards have been broken.

Residents link the latter to the defeat of the national football team of Ukraine to Northern Ireland team in the second round of the group stage of Euro 2016. Because, they say, the bench was broken on that night. But where is the vandals’ logic? What is the bench’s "fault"?
