What is “Polibus”? (+ PHOTOS)

For the fifth day in a row, Uzhgorod residents have been noticing a strange bus parked on Rakoczy street, near the former "Molocharnya".

Painted in bright colors, it stands in the center of the city, and an electric cable from a nearby house is connected to it. Through the cracks in thick curtains, one can see that inside of the old bus they set tables, and chairs are turned to them. Apparently, this is someone’s attempt to make a small and very original in Transcarpathia business – a cafe, restaurant or pizzeria on wheels. But, we have not yet had chance to meet the owners of the "Polibus" – the bus is closed and there is no one near it. 

Perhaps after opening, it will turn out to be a good idea. However, the fate of such unusual projects that were initiated in Uzhgorod is not always lucky. For example, the mini-cafe on the "Tavriya" pickup next to the City Tax Office became successful, and Uzhgorod residents often buy really good coffee there.

And we can also remember the attempt to run a cyclo-pub on Nezalezhnist embankment. It seems that the prospect of drinking beer or coffee while turning the pedals did not inspire Uzhgorod residents. Since the end of summer, even in dry warm weather, this structure is gathering dust in the yard of Uzhgorod post office.

What will be with the brightly colored "Polibus", will it settle down in the streets of the regional center? We will wait and see.

P. S. Meanwhile, some passers-joke that, given the iridescent color, the future cafe will be popular among the so-called LGBT community. If you do not know what this acronym stands for, google it 😉
