Wet smuggler: border guards detained a diver in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

An 18-year-old Ukrainian citizen was detained late last night by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment on the Romanian border.

The young man was crossing the Tisa river, which forms the Ukrainian-Romanian border, when he was spotted by border guards. The offender ignored the orders of the border guards and attempted to escape. The border guards caught the offender. The young man was wearing a wetsuit.

To clarify all the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative procedural documents under Part 1 of Art. 204 and 185-10 of the CoAO, the detained person was delivered to the border guard unit. The legal assessment of its actions and the type of charge will be determined by the court.

It is worth noting that at present the water temperature in the rivers is very low and the water level in the Tisa is quite high, and the current is rapid. Disregarding the health and lives of people, the organizers of tobacco smuggling continue to put them at serious risk for their own profit.
