Weather forecasters are warning about rise of water levels in the rivers of Transcarpathia

According to weather forecasts, on August 19 – 20, on the rivers of Transcarpathia water levels are expected to rise by 0.5-1.5 meters (above the levels as of 8.00 on August 19).

Heavy showers will cause:
on small watercourses, a rapid rise of water levels by 0.5-1.5 m;

formation of significant local and slope runoff with flooding of low areas, especially in settlements, due to clogging of riverbeds and drainage ditches;

formation of local mudflows and landslides.

As the weather situation develops, hydrological forecasts will be updated.
