During a court-sanctioned search in the house of a person involved in a property crime, in the village of Ternovo, Tyachiv district, police found and confiscated prohibited items. Those were weapons that the man was keeping at home in the attic.
The resident of the village of Ternovo was not at home at the time of the search, as he is currently abroad.
Investigators of the police department opened a criminal case over illegal storage of weapons and ammunition under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Rifles, pistols and ammunition were confiscated by law enforcement officers and sent for examination to establish their origin. The pre-trial investigation into the case is ongoing.
