The President Poroshenko said that soon he would hold consultations with the authorities of EU member states bordering to Ukraine to develop joint actions to combat smuggling.
He stated that on Wednesday at the meeting with heads of security agencies of Transcarpathian region in Mukachevo, the Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"In the near future, I will hold consultations with the leadership of our neighbors as contraband from this side can not move without someone waiting for it on the other side of the border. This is a proof of a transborder corruption", – Poroshenko said.
The President expressed confidence that the leadership of Ukraine and neighboring countries of the EU would join forces and would support Ukraine in the fight against contraband flows.
"We have to close Western border for smuggling," – Poroshenko said and stressed that in this way criminals will be deprived of the financial "feed."
