“We are seriously determined to install hardscape elements on Voloshin street,” – the Mayor said

As promised yesterday, uzhgorod.in asked the mayor for comment on installation of two big hardscape elements on Voloshin street, in front of the "Edelweiss."

According to activists, who saw the project of these hardscape elements, they will have the area of ​​30 square meters and the look that is not suited to the historic city center.

This is what the Mayor said: "The session determined where these, as you say, kiosks, and actually – hardscape elements (they have no foundation and the land for them is not purchased), can be installed. And yes, Voloshin street is the place where they will be installed. Note: there are several other hardscape elements around this area, and for some reason they do not bother anyone. Look at pictures of Uzhgorod in the past – in the center there were many outbuildings, and so on … ".

Making it clear that the city government is seriously set to install kiosks on Voloshin street, in response to the comment that the public oppose this idea, Victor Pogorelov said: "It will be discussed." And noted that the hardscape elements may look different than the project, and that he did not think that the project was made properly.
