Water supply systems of Uzhgorod and Mukachevo will be updated at the expense of European grants

On Wednesday, May 8, in the city of Boktorolonthaza (Hungary) the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Ivan Baloha met with the chairman of the general meeting of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg region Oscar Sestak and the Mayor of Nyíregyháza Ferenc Kovacs. They discussed the implementation of joint projects, including those funded by the EU.

The chairman of the general meeting of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg region Oscar Sestak said that this year Nyíregyháza together with Uzhgorod and Mukachevo will be implementing the water supply system upgrading project funded by the European Union. The parties agreed that the start conference of the project will be held in late June in Mukachevo.

Also Oscar Sestak offered Transcarpathian partners to join the development of new grant projects. "New development programs, funded by the European Union, are being developed for the period of 2014-2020. Hungary plans to develop new grant projects, including the needs of Transcarpathia, and we are ready to attract communities of your region to their development," – the head of the neighboring region said.
