Vynogradiv invites to “Ugocsa vine” (Announcement)

On May 6-7, the city of Vynogradiv invites to the XII festival of winegrowers and winemakers "Ugocsa vine." Traditionally, the feast will last two days. The first one will be dedicated to the unique Borzhava narrow-gauge railway operating in the district, a technical and cultural heritage of the region. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the centuries-old Ferenc II Rakoczy cellar and tasting of local wines.

The second day is the wine festival itself where, besides local wines and delicacies, you will be able to try local eco-products, the trend of this year.

Organizers promise an interesting and rich program.

PROGRAM:

May 6 (Saturday):

"Wine tour of Borzhava narrow-gauge railway", the route:

the city of Vynogradiv – the village of Oleshnyk – the village of Shalanky – the city of Vynogradiv

10.00 – Tour "Grape Vynogradiv" (Vynogradiv, Myr Square);

11.00 – departure from the station of Vinogradiv;

11.20 – folklore program at the station of Oleshnyk;

13.00 – visit to the Ferenc Rakoczy II tasting room in the village of Shalanky.

14.20 – lunch;

15.20 – return to Vynogradiv.

May 7 (Sunday):

13.00 – festive procession (main streets of the city);

13.30 – opening of the festival (Pereni Park):

  • exhibition and sale of wine products;
  • the beginning of the exhibition "Village households";
  • announcement of the winners of the contest "Best Wine";

The festival events:

  • concert program (Pereni Park amphitheater). Guest of the festival – People’s Artist of Ukraine Stepan Giga.
  • exhibition and sale of works of fine arts and crafts;
  • workshops;
  • playground and rides;
  • horseback riding;
  • festive festival lottery;
  • thematic photo-zone;

21.00 – Magic program from Dragonfly.
