The 10th Vydogradiv District Council session of VI convocation concerning the order abolition ‘On the Procedure approval cooperation between the law enforcement bodies, healthcare institutions and Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine at the establishing the fact of person’s death’ was supported by the Commission on law, humans rights and military issues respect of Lviv Regional Council.
According to the Lviv Regional Council (LRC) press service, the commission decided to bring for the LRC session consideration the analogues appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Justice of Ukraine.
According to the Vynogradiv District Council deputies, a new procedure for establishing the fact of the person’s death contains immoral features.
According to this procedure, the deceased elatives actually have to prove to the law enforcement officers that the person died on the non-violent death. Otherwise, the deceased is sent on the forensic medical examination, due to which the relative get the considerable expenses and mental suffering.
The Transcarpathian deputies point out, that since such an order is directly affecting the citizens’ rights – the deceased relatives, it had to undergo the registration at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine procedure, however, there is no available information about its registration on the official website.
Vynogradiv District Council requests to cancel the order from 25.10.2011, number 102/685/692 ‘On the Procedure approval cooperation between the law enforcement bodies, healthcare institutions and Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine at the establishing the fact of person’s death’
