Volunteers are initiating nomination of Katerina Omelchak for the title of “Honorable Citizens of Uzhgorod”

Here is what the statement reads: 

"We nominated Mrs. Katerina Omelchak for the title "Honorable Citizens of Uzhgorod".

We have collected the documents and I even had time to tell her about it. And we: volunteers, veterans of war, active servicemen and members of patriotic organizations are appealing to deputies of Uzhgorod City Council with a request to support this person during the voting. For her name should be written forever in the history of the city, as a fighter for Ukrainian interests, as an educator of youth, as an example to follow.

Years will pass, but we have no right to forget those who devoted their lives to the struggle for independence, who made all efforts for the victory of rightousness and justice.

We hope that the community will support us!"
