This was stated by the chief regional prosecutor Volodymyr Yanko today at the press conference.
"I think that prosecutors in Transcarpathia should be Transcarpathians. Their families, parents are here, and the community at any time can hold them responsible for their actions. During appointments, I was taking into account purely professional skills, the opinion of local authorities about specific individuals," – the prosecutor said.
"I have no information about any criticism regarding those people. If there is any specific information on unethical conduct of the newly appointed prosecutors, if anyone has found a violation of the prosecutors’ code of conduct by them, please contact me personally.
However, before the appointments, all prosecutors have passed the check according to the Law on lustration", – Volodymyr Yanko said.
