1500 protocols on customs rules’ violation in a total amount of 37,2 million hryvnia were complied in less than six months by the Transcarpathia customs officers. 1230 cases concerning PMP on 29 million hryvnia were instituted at the ‘entrance’ to Ukraine, and 277 cases on 8,2 million hryvnia when ‘leaving’ the country. In 82% of cases violation items on 17 million hryvnia were removed. This was announced by a head of Chop Customs Office Alexandr Pokhylko at the meeting with journalists today, June 19.
Most offences were reported on the border crossing of industrial goods – 501 cases on 15,8 million hryvnia, vehicles – 128 cases on 17,7 million hryvnia, foreign currency – 13 cases on 130 thousand hryvnia, food products – 330 cases on 1,7 million hryvnia, tobacco products – 129 cases on 422 thousand hryvnia, home appliances – 78 cases on 984 thousand hryvnia, weapons, ammunition, special devices – 24 cases, narcotic and psychotropic substances – 203 cases.
In addition, Chop Customs initiated 10 criminal cases of smuggling on the total amount of 4,7 million hryvnia (on the fact – 7, in respect to individuals – 3).
