Vigilant Uzhgorod residents did not let a thief steal a wallet (PHOTOS)

Uzhgorod patrol policemen received a report of a theft from an apartment on Hrushevsky Street. Upon arriving at the scene, the inspectors met with the applicant, who reported that thanks to vigilant citizens, the person who had stolen money from his apartment had been detained.

According to preliminary information, an unknown man, who introduced himself as an employee of one of the utility companies, entered the applicant’s apartment. Once inside, the citizen discreetly took a purse with cash and tried to escape. However, thanks to the reaction of vigilant citizens, the man was detained immediately.

Subsequently, the patrol policemen frisked the man and found the wallet belonging to the applicant. Therefore, investigators were called at the scene.
