The two main Christmas trees of Transcarpathia and the regional center are located in Uzhgorod. As in previous years, Transcarpathians prefer real Christmas trees. Here’s some information on this year’s New Year’s beauties.
The height of the main Christmas tree of Transcarpathia is 18 meters, the age is 60 years. It was brought to Uzhgorod from Rakhiv Forestry. This year, for decoration, they chose bells over the usual balls.
The height of the main Christmas tree of Uzhgorod is 13-14 meters, the age is 40-45 years. The tree was presented to the city by an Uzhgorod resident Eduard Pogorely.
This is the eighth time Uzhgorod has received a Christmas tree as a gift from local residents.
The Christmas tree looks especially good at night, when lit by festive illuminations.
