Victor Baloha: “If there is corruption in the government, it is on the top”

"Volunteers in our country dress, feed, heat, arm and treat. And now, advisors to the President say that they must also eliminate corruption in the Ministry of Defense, for under the new, democratic government, a quarter of the defense budget is stolen.

Of course, they can do that, although it is a law enforcement’s job. But when someone says that, they flatly recognize that the state, as an institution for governing the people and the territory, no longer exists. And starting this day, each of us is a "volunteer".

Therefore, I propose a much simpler option – just stop stealing. If there is corruption in the government, it is on top. If it needs to be eradicated, then it only takes a political decision of the state leaders – to prohibit their subordinates to steal from soldiers and ordinary people" – Victor Baloha wrote on his Facebook page.
