Victor Baloha asks to take back hunting grounds and to assess the actions of the Regional State Administration officials in his letter of appeal to the Attorney General

Dear Victor Pavlovych!

As the Minister of Emergencies of Ukraine and in accordance with the decrees of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. August 22, 2011 № 818-р, and dd. August 20, 2012 № 592-р, being in charge of the Transcarpathian region, I consider it my duty to inform you about the signs of the violation of the applicable legislation, in particular as regards the compliance with the procedure for granting the use of hunting grounds as defined by the Law of Ukraine dd. 22.02.2000 № 1478-III "On Game Management and Hunting" when passing the decision of Transcarpathian Regional Council dd. November 4, 2011 "On the granting of hunting grounds in use to social organization of hunters and fishermen "Hunting Club "Hubert" and the latter’s violation of the requirements of the Law of Ukraine, the result of which was a fire on August 26 this year in "Nove Selo" forestry covering the area of more than 32 hectares with material damage for the state and irrepairable harm to nature.

I ask you to give orders to employees of the central apparatus to investigate the foregoing facts, including the involvement of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration officials, who initiated the adoption of the decision by the regional council.

Considering the indignation of Transcarpathian residents and general large negative publicity concerning the events that occurred I would ask you following the results of the investigation, in accordance with the Law "On Prosecutor’s Office", to challenge the decision of the Transcarpathian Regional Council session dd. November 4, 2011 № 323 "On the granting of hunting grounds in use to social organization of hunters and fishermen "Hunting Club "Hubert" and to assess the actions of the regional state administration.

I would appreciate your answer so I could inform the public of Transcarpathia.
